MC4 Mechanical
Wilwood’s MC4 Mechanical Parking Brake Caliper is a cable-actuated, multi-purpose parking brake caliper that combines high-performance with simple design and construction, and is the perfect solution for vehicles requiring a dedicated, mechanically-actuated parking brake caliper. Available calipers are designed to accept rotors ranging from 0.310” to 1.10” thick depending on part number, with a diameter range of 11.00” to 14.00”. The MC4 combines an efficient die-cast body with a forged anvil for superior strength under load while still remaining lightweight at only 3.30 pounds (2.95 without pads). Each caliper includes our high friction, high static retention Composite Metallic (CM) brake pads, and comes pre-installed with anti-rattle shields. Designed with noise dampening features for quiet, rattle-free operation, the MC4 sliding caliper includes a steel bracket for simple mounting. Available in both right- and left-hand configurations, the lever cartridge can be adjusted to three positions for optimal placement and ease of cable installation. The 1.19” aluminum piston is fully dust-booted to prevent moisture and dirt entry. Each caliper is equipped with a cable return spring, and the mechanical lever accepts a 0.310” diameter barrel-end parking brake cable*. The convenient hand-adjuster requires no special tools, allowing for incremental adjustment to compensate for pad and rotor wear. MC4 calipers are available with a high-temperature, fluid resistant gloss powder coat finish in black, silver, or red, and feature the distinctive Wilwood logo.
