D52 Dual Piston Floating Caliper
The D52 caliper is a direct 2-piston replacement for the factory original single calipers found on many 1968-1996 GM cars and trucks. Forged aluminum bodies, stainless steel pistons, and high-temperature competition-style seals put an end to the rust, bore corrosion, and seal failure woes that plague the OE caliper design. D52 calipers provide low-maintenance performance and a huge weight savings with high-temperature reliability for the street and track. D52 calipers mount in the original location over the OE brake rotors, utilize the OE D52 brake pads, and the OE 7/16-20 banjo bolt brake line. They can be used with most wheels that clear the original calipers. The 1.25” piston rear calipers provide 2.46 cubic inches of piston area per caliper to maintain the original front-to-rear brake bias and use of the original master cylinder. D52 calipers come with hardened slide pins.
