Pad Features
Gradual torque increase as temperature increases.
Long wear and fade resistance.
Trim pad for reduced response in mid to high temperature ranges.
Compatible with all iron and steel alloy discs.
Pad Applications
EXCLUSIVE Racing Compound: Road Course and Superspeedway endurance racing with iron discs.
Fast intermediate ovals requiring a less aggressive brake response.
Popular trim compound to reduce bias from A, B, or H compounds when additional hydraulic adjustments are not available.
Temperature range and overall friction value are the primary pad selection considerations. Pads must maintain the proper amount of friction for stopping power within the temperatures that will be achieved on the track. The overall wear rate must also be considered. For most asphalt and road racing applications, compounds in the high-temperature range above 1000 °F are usually required. Dirt track, drag racing, and high-performance street applications generally operate at temperatures between 500 °F and 1000 °F. Please note these are general ranges and not absolute values. Many unforeseen factors and influences can affect braking temperatures. The best indicator for pad selection will always be on-track performance. If pad fade occurs due to overheating, improved cooling, a heavier rotor, or pads with a higher temperature range may be required.
