PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
In performance driving, we know that braking performance is as important as acceleration and cornering grip. To optimize the performance of your factory brakes, our RP650 front brake pads are an essential upgrade. After extensive road and track testing, we have developed a high-friction material with ECE-90 approval that offers virtually no brake fade even at high temperatures, with no prior warm-up needed. In other words, a drastic improvement to the braking system that still works perfectly in daily driving.
If you drive your car aggressively, you've probably experienced brake fade at some point. That's where our RP650 high-performance brake pads come in. They are easily installed by replacing the factory pads with the standard braking system, and they offer much greater resistance to high-temperature fade. This makes them perfect for spirited road driving and even occasional track use, without compromising daily driving.
A large part of our compound testing focused on developing a pad that found the perfect balance between excellent cold response and high resistance to high-temperature fade. The result is a medium-hard aramid fiber compound with a friction coefficient of 0.42 μm in the temperature range of 450 to 650 °C.
This compound is the secret to how our high-performance RP650 brake pads deliver superior stopping power and reliable performance even in the most demanding conditions, without the need for pre-heating – something essential for vehicles that must perform perfectly in daily driving while also withstanding the demands of spirited road driving and occasional track use.
In addition to absolute performance, another key aspect of the development has been perfecting the pedal feel, resulting in progressive braking with unmatched response. The grooved and chamfered construction ensures smooth and quiet braking.
Furthermore, our RP650 brake pads are designed to last longer than traditional brake pads, reducing the need for frequent replacements, which ultimately saves money. This also means that the pads generate less dust than traditional brake pads, keeping your wheels cleaner and reducing the need for frequent cleaning.
Finally, in most countries, it is legally mandatory for brake pads to be ECE-R90 certified; however, many aftermarket pads do not have this. This ECE-R90 standard is not only essential for legality (and potentially for the validity of your insurance), but it also gives you peace of mind that the pads have been tested and approved for cold performance, speed, sensitivity, friction behavior, compressibility, shear strength, and hardness. Therefore, the pads will perform equally well both when cold and at maximum track operating temperature.
Note: if you are looking for optimal track performance, we also offer MMR Performance Track pads (for the same car models). These pads are ideal for those who prioritize maximum track performance and accept inferior low-temperature performance, without the need for ECE-90 approval for road use.

INSTALLATION INFORMATION
Bedding-in: After installation, perform 10 brake applications from 100 km/h (60 mph) down to 10-15 km/h (5-10 mph). At the end of each brake application, immediately accelerate to approximately 100 km/h (60 mph) for the next (the exact speed is not crucial). When slowing down to about 10-15 km/h (5-10 mph), there is no need to look at the speedometer; keep your eyes on the road and estimate your approximate speed at the end of each cycle. Do not come to a complete stop, as this could leave pad imprints on the rotor, causing vibrations.
On the eighth or ninth stop, a characteristic smell should be noticeable coming from the brakes. Smoke may also be observed after several stops. Likewise, on the eighth or ninth stop, some friction materials will experience slight wear. This wear will stabilize but will not completely disappear until the brakes have cooled down.
