The WAGNERTUNING high-performance intercooler features a new competition core (Tube Fin) with external dimensions of 287 mm x 185 mm x 115 mm / 11.3 inch x 7.3 inch x 4.5 inch. This intercooler core was developed specifically for the high demands of the BMW M3/M4 and offers 114% more external volume compared to the stock intercooler. The calculated ratio between the inner and outer cooling surface ensures maximum heat transfer and at the same time the best possible internal airflow. Cast aluminum end tanks were designed in CAD and optimized with CFD simulations. The result is excellent cooling performance with minimal back pressure. This kit is therefore perfect for racing. Optimal cooling of the charge air with a significant increase in performance!

The 3.0 liter S55B30 turbo engine for BMW M3/M4 models is equipped with an indirect charge air cooling circuit. The charge air cooling is therefore not done by ambient air as a cooling medium (as is usual), but by its own cooling water circuit. A reduction in the cooling water temperature directly results in improved charge air cooling performance. This is precisely where the advantages of the WAGNERTUNING upgrade water cooler come into play. The newly developed competition cores for the WAGNERTUNING high-performance water coolers increase the radiator volume of the OEM water coolers by 89% for the front-mounted and 94% for the side-mounted ones. The calculated ratio between the inner and outer cooling surfaces generates maximum heat transfer and at the same time enables sufficient airflow for the surrounding components (e.g., engine water cooler) to perform their own heat exchange. The water coolers are equipped with a thermal anti-corrosion coating to ensure a lasting cooling effect. The plug & play installation of the system is simple and easy to perform (installation instructions are included).
