The MFD32 Gen2, in its universal version, fits any vehicle and is a smart display with essential functions. Its lightweight plastic housing stands out with a symmetrical design and can be used both vertically and horizontally.

Display Configuration Software (DSS)

With CANchecked DSS, you can fully customize your display. With the integrated log viewer, you can download and visualize log files. Additionally, a CAN logger is included. The core is the integrated "TRI Editor," with which you can adjust sensors (whether CAN Bus or internal): assign min and max values for warnings and change the names of your sensors.

Supported Values

Many customers ask: "What values can I get from my ECU?" The answer: "ALL."

We have reverse-engineered data from most engines and can provide detailed information. Our display supports querying CAN Bus data (UDS, TP2, manufacturer-specific protocols).

By default, your display is delivered with predefined TRI/TRX files. In these files, all queried sensors are defined. These vary depending on the engine. Below is an excerpt of the possibilities:

Temperatures:

Exhaust temperature, coolant temperature, oil temperature, intake temperature, ambient temperature, fuel temperature, DSG gearbox temperature.

Pressures:

Boost pressure, ambient pressure, pre-feed fuel pump pressure, rail pressure (actual/target).

Lambda/Mixture

Lambda value, injection time, short-term Lambda trim, long-term Lambda trim

Others

RPM, mass air, vehicle speed, throttle angle, total ignition angle, ignition angle retard per cylinder, N75 ignition advance in %, terminal 30 voltage, engine torque, gear, diesel-specific values

If values are missing, they can be added later. Of course, your new data display supports a wide range of freely programmable control units, such as:

Connection and Extension

Sensors of any type can be connected via the four analog inputs; we support linear 0-5V signals as well as... NTC sensors. Our CAN-certified sensors are stored by default in the TRI/TRX files and only need to be connected:

AIN1: Temperature sensor (NTC01)

AIN2: Transducer for K-type exhaust gas temperature sensor (TCC01)

AIN3: Pressure sensor 0-10 bar (FLP01)

AIN4: Boost pressure sensor 0-5.5 bar absolute (BST10)

For connection, you can use our pre-assembled AIN wiring harness.

In addition to analog sensors, you can also connect our external shift light with eight LEDs. This can flash in different colors, and the speed limits and colors can be configured directly on the display.

The ethanol sensor connects directly to the display. A pull-up resistor (10 kΩ) is needed between 5V and the signal. This way, ethanol content and temperature can be displayed and logged directly on the screen.

Advanced Functions

With math channels, you can calculate sensor data from each other. The user table allows generating additional sensors with 2D or 3D maps.
