The MFD32 Gen2 transforms your vent into a smart display with essential functions. Our displays are designed for anyone to install. Most include illustrated installation instructions, so you can install it yourself without the need for a workshop.

Display Setup Software (DSS)

With CANchecked's DSS, you can fully customize your display. With the integrated log viewer, you can download and view log files. It also includes a CAN logger. At its core is the integrated TRI editor, which allows you to adjust sensors (whether CAN Bus or internal): assign minimum and maximum values for warnings and change the names of your sensors.

Supported Values

Many customers ask: What values can I get from my ECU? The answer: ALL.

We have reverse-engineered data from most engines and can provide detailed information. Our display supports querying CAN Bus data (UDS, TP2, manufacturer-specific protocols).

By default, your display comes with predefined TRI/TRX files. All queried sensors are defined in these files. These vary by engine. Below is an excerpt of the possibilities:

Temperatures:

Exhaust temperature, coolant temperature, oil temperature, intake temperature, outside temperature, fuel temperature, DSG gearbox temperature.

Pressures:

Boost pressure, ambient pressure, pre-feed fuel pump pressure, rail pressure (actual/target).

Lambda/Mixture

Lambda value, injection time, short-term Lambda trim, long-term Lambda trim

Other

RPM, mass air, vehicle speed, throttle angle, total ignition angle, ignition angle retraction per cylinder, N75 ignition advance in %, terminal 30 voltage, engine torque, gear, diesel-specific values

Connection and Expansion

Any type of sensor can be connected via the four analog inputs. We support 0-5 V linear sensors and NTC sensors. Our CAN-certified sensors are stored by default in the TRI/TRX files and only need to be connected:

AIN1: Temperature sensor (NTC01)

AIN2: Transducer for type K exhaust gas temperature sensor (TCC01)

AIN3: Pressure sensor 0-10 bar (FLP01)

AIN4: Boost pressure sensor 0-5.5 bar absolute (BST10)

For connection, you can use our pre-assembled AIN wiring harness.

In addition to analog sensors, you can also connect our external shift light with eight LEDs. This can flash in different colors, and the speed limits and colors can be set directly on the display.

The ethanol sensor is connected directly to the display. A pull-up resistor (10 kΩ) is needed between 5 V and the signal. This way, ethanol content and temperature can be displayed and recorded directly on the screen.

Advanced Functions

With math channels, you can calculate sensors against each other. The user table allows you to generate additional sensors with 2D or 3D maps.
