MFD28 Gen2 with CAN certification specific to your Porsche 911 997: seamless integration and all data always in view.

The MFD28 Gen2 transforms the ventilation grille into a smart display with essential functions. Our displays are designed for anyone to install. Most include illustrated installation instructions, so you can install it yourself without the need for a workshop.

Data logging: Log and save your data on the internal SD card for later analysis.

Performance meter: Measure your 0-100 km/h, 100-200 km/h, and 0-200 km/h times with the integrated performance meter, no additional hardware required.
DTC*: Read and clear errors from the engine control unit, transmission, ABS, and all-wheel drive.

Dimming*: The display automatically dims along with the instrument panel.

Display Configuration Software (DSS)

With CANchecked's DSS, you can fully customize your display. With the integrated log viewer, you can download and view log files. Additionally, it includes a CAN logger. The core is the integrated TRI editor, with which you can adjust sensors (whether CAN Bus or internal): assign minimum and maximum values for warnings and change your sensor names.

Supported Values

Many customers ask: What values can I get from my ECU? The answer: ALL.

We have reverse-engineered data from most engines and can offer detailed information. Our display supports querying CAN Bus data (UDS, TP2, manufacturer-specific protocols).

By default, your display comes with predefined TRI/TRX files. All queried sensors are defined in these files. These vary depending on the engine. Below is an excerpt of the possibilities:

Temperatures:

Exhaust temperature, coolant temperature, oil temperature, intake temperature, outside temperature, fuel temperature, DSG gearbox temperature.

Pressures:

Boost pressure, ambient pressure, pre-supply fuel pump pressure, rail pressure (actual/target).

Lambda/mixture

Lambda value, injection time, short-term Lambda trim, long-term Lambda trim

Others

RPM, air mass, vehicle speed, throttle angle, total ignition angle, ignition angle retraction per cylinder, N75 ignition advance in %, terminal 30 voltage, engine torque, gear, diesel-specific values

Connection and Extension

Sensors of any type can be connected via the four analog inputs. We support linear 0-5V sensors and NTC sensors. Our CAN-certified sensors are stored by default in the TRI/TRX files and only need to be connected:

AIN1: Temperature sensor (NTC01)

AIN2: Transducer for type K exhaust gas temperature sensor (TCC01)

AIN3: 0-10 bar pressure sensor (FLP01)

AIN4: 0-5.5 bar absolute boost pressure sensor (BST10)

For connection, you can use our pre-assembled AIN wiring harness.
In addition to analog sensors, you can also connect our external shift light with eight LEDs. This can flash in different colors, and the speed limits and colors can be configured directly on the display.

The ethanol sensor connects directly to the display. It needs a pull-up resistor (10 kΩ) between 5V and the signal. This way, you can display and record ethanol content and temperature directly on the screen.

Advanced Functions

With mathematical channels, you can calculate sensor data from each other. The user table allows you to generate additional sensors with 2D or 3D maps.
