RacingLine VWR Sport Springs for the front-wheel-drive VW Tiguan II MQB have been meticulously developed to offer a smooth, dynamic ride, with an ideal height without the typical wheel-arch gaps of SUVs.
VWR Sport Springs by RacingLine replace the four factory springs with redesigned, progressive-rate, slightly shorter sport springs. These springs lower the Tiguan's ride height by 35-45mm (depending on model and version) to maintain the suspension travel needed for optimal ride and handling. If a lower or stiffer suspension than that offered by RacingLine VWR springs is chosen, the car tends to bounce and bottom out, as the damping is not matched to the spring stiffness and they reach their travel limit. This spring kit is only for front-wheel-drive models; a different kit is available for Tiguan 4Motion all-wheel-drive models.
The result? The vehicle's center of gravity is lowered, reducing body roll for improved dynamics, without sacrificing ride quality or comfort.
Meanwhile, the vehicle's SUV appearance is subtly transformed. By eliminating those unsightly wheel arch gaps, it will look as it always should have from the factory!
RacingLine's extensive development program has specified progressive-rate springs to preserve ride comfort in normal use, but stiffening them at the end of the stroke. This progressive-rate spring construction means that the spring stiffness in the middle of the stroke is very similar to standard. It is only towards the end of the spring's travel (i.e., when braking or cornering at high speeds) that RacingLine has designed the spring to stiffen. This progressive-rate spring design is the secret to excellent ride comfort combined with exceptional dynamic performance.
The sport springs are developed to be fully compatible with vehicles equipped with the Volkswagen Group's switchable DCC (adjustable chassis control) dampers. RacingLine sport springs are high-quality springs, manufactured in Europe, in the same factory that produces many OEM springs.
