Forge Motorsport FMDP1 Discharge Hose for Audi S3 Cupra Formentor VW Golf Mk8 2.0 TSI EA888 EVO4

The FMDP1 is Forge Motorsport’s direct replacement for the undersized stock charge pipe on the 2.0T EVO 4 engine.

With the popularity of the new generation EVO 4 engines, Forge Motorsport has developed the perfect high flow discharge hose to complement our range of race intercoolers (FMINT24). Forge Motorsport’s discharge hose features a 76mm outlet that fits perfectly into the inlet of our high-performance intercooler, improving flow and volume by expanding the restrictive stock plastic hose with this excellent solution.

The pursuit of increased power means increased boost pressure, and the need to eliminate any restrictions in the boost system is critical. When analyzing the original discharge hose system, it became clear that improvements could be made not only to the rigid hose but also to the original rubber hoses. Using 3D scanning equipment and our CAD engineers, we have created a product of impeccable precision and quality.
With several different designs to choose from, the Forge Motorsport in-house development team spent many months testing and perfecting different designs to ensure a superior product for tuning enthusiasts.

We opted for a rigid, curved, molded alloy tube, with an increased internal diameter from 63mm to 76mm (a 21% increase in surface area) from the turbo outlet to the connection with the hot side of the intercooler. The new hoses included in the DP1 kit are made of fluorocarbon-lined four-layer silicone, and the kit is secured by a specially designed bracket to ensure a perfect fit once installed.

This new configuration results in a product capable of withstanding higher boost levels, providing more efficient airflow, as well as being more durable than the original and less prone to failure and fatigue than the OEM product. Like all Forge Motorsport products, the FMDP1 comes with Forge Motorsport’s legendary lifetime warranty.
Performance improvements may vary depending on existing modifications and the level of software remapping. In general, gains of 6-7 HP and 10 Nm of torque can be expected when installing the FMDP1 in conjunction with the FMINT24.

Its overall appearance is discreet, with a textured black powder coat finish and black silicone hoses that maintain the original aesthetic in the engine compartment.

The FMDP1 is a direct replacement for the original part with part number 5WA 145 840D and, like all Forge products, this kit includes detailed installation instructions.
