By positioning the radiator and intercooler in a V-arrangement at the front of the engine bay, cooling is improved via a direct fresh air supply, which is ducted to make the most of its capacity. This arrangement is ideal for RX-7s tuned for track or drift use, where cooling management is a key factor in performance and reliability. Compared to the first version, this kit has been improved by taking into consideration a number of points. For example, the radiator angle has been defined to maximize airflow velocity, and the piping setup has been optimized for vented bonnets. In addition, plates have been installed on the radiator and intercooler to guide the air and prevent it from escaping through bumper openings. Available as part of the full kit, the air filters have been placed as far forward as possible so that they are not too affected by engine heat. Standard Kit Features The standard kit is recommended for aftermarket turbos. It includes a Type 19F intercooler (core dimensions: 266 x 400 x 100 mm), an aluminum racing radiator (dimensions: 355 x 631 x 48 mm), intercooler piping on the compression (cold air) side only, and a breather tank. The battery must be relocated. The kit is compatible with FD3S from 08/1993 to 08/2002 with chassis numbers from 200000 to 600000. It can be installed on chassis 100000, provided the A/C pipe is bent (low pressure side). Full Kit for FD3S 93-95 Features The full kit is recommended for stock turbos on pre-facelift models. It includes a Type 19F intercooler (core dimensions: 266 x 400 x 100 mm), an aluminum racing radiator (dimensions: 355 x 631 x 48 mm), two Airinx S air filters, suction pipes, full intercooler piping, and a breather tank. The battery must be relocated. The kit is compatible with FD3S from 08/1993 to 12/1995 with chassis numbers from 200000 to 600000. It can be installed on chassis 100000, provided the A/C pipe is bent (low pressure side). Full Kit for FD3S 96-02 Features The full kit is recommended for stock turbos on facelift models. It includes a Type 19F intercooler (core dimensions: 266 x 400 x 100 mm), an aluminum racing radiator (dimensions: 355 x 631 x 48 mm), two Airinx S air filters, suction pipes, full intercooler piping, and a breather tank. The battery must be relocated. The kit is compatible with FD3S from 01/1996 to 08/2002 with chassis numbers from 400000 to 600000. Electric Fan Extension Harness (optional) Installing these kits requires the electric fan harness to be extended. GReddy offers two optional solutions for different RX-7 models. The FD3S 91-98 harness is suitable for Efini Type 1 to 4 models (chassis numbers 100000 to 400000). Please note that FD3S produced around 12/1998 have the "Mazda" connector type (Type 5-6), so please check which solution is suitable for your vehicle by referring to the image above.
