OVERVIEW
These kits provide all necessary plumbing to and from the engine, including a fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, fuel lines, adapters, and mounting hardware. First, an 8AN PTFE fuel line is installed to the fuel pump outlet.
The 8AN PTFE fuel hose is routed behind the fuel tank. A high-flow fuel filter is mounted to the left side of the fuel tank via a two-piece billet aluminum bracket. Elements are either 10-micron stainless steel (-03) or 6-micron micro-glass (-05). From the fuel filter outlet, another 8AN PTFE fuel line routes to the front of the vehicle.
To accommodate the larger diameter new feed line, the OEM plastic retainers are replaced with billet aluminum fuel/brake line retainers.
A Dual Fuel Pressure Regulator (DFPR) is mounted to the firewall using the OEM threaded holes. With the DFPR regulator, there are two independent fuel pressure outputs. For the OEM direct injection system, the black knob and 0-100 psi gauge are used to calibrate the low-pressure fuel pump (LPFP) fuel pressure. If an aftermarket port injection system is installed, there is an independent output port. Only a port injection system, a DFPR 8AN ORB adapter, and a fuel line would be needed. These plumbing kits include an 8AN ORB plug for this port.
NOTE: The port injection fuel pressure is calibrated with the green knob. In the engine bay, 6AN (3/8") EFI fuel hoses and SAE quick connect adapters are included to convert the OEM fuel feed line into a return line. At the rear, 6AN PTFE fuel hoses and an SAE quick connect adapter are included to adapt the OEM fuel line to the new return port.
