We added a total of 13mm to both sides of the piping system by increasing the diameters from 42mm to 55mm, which amounts to a 30% size increase! We also took the liberty of reducing bend angles in the piping, giving the charged air a more direct flow through the intercooler system improving flow. The piping size and direction wasn’t the only change either. The degradation-prone plastic making up the cold-side piping has been eliminated, which has been replaced with a section of mandrel-bent aluminum piping giving your intercooler piping kit an upgrade in durability and style. We also took the liberty of replacing the stock kit’s rubber with couplers constructed with 5-layers of durable, heat-resistant fiber embedded silicone, keeping engine heat out of the intercooler’s charged air.
