This kit includes all the necessary parts to convert the high-pressure fuel pump with a cam follower to a roller follower kit, as found in the newer EA888 TSI engines. It is common for the 2.0 TFSI EA113 engine to experience excessive wear on the cam follower that contacts the camshaft lobe.
If the cam follower wears out completely, it can cause serious damage to the engine and the intake camshaft. This conversion prevents this problem and ensures the reliability and smooth operation of the high-pressure fuel pump, without the need to replace the cam follower.
In addition, the fuel pump's flow rate is improved by increasing the effective stroke by 28% (or 18.5% in CDL engines).
Warning: Installing this kit requires machining the high-pressure fuel pump cover to accommodate the roller kit. It is also necessary to remove the lobe that drives the pump and install the new lobe in the same position.
