The new Athena Racing Cut Ring head gasket has been specifically designed to meet the growing demands of tuners for performance, maximum sealing, and resistance to extreme thermal and mechanical stress.

The Cut Ring technology combines the advantages of an excellent seal at high pressures, like that of a cylinder head gasket with independent recessed rings, known as Cooper rings, which no longer require the tuner to irreversibly modify the engine block to work on the ring seats.

CUT RINGS

Exclusively designed by Athena, the stainless steel (AISI 304) Cut Rings provide a superior seal compared to traditional fire rings. After the manufacturing process, they are tested under extreme conditions, withstanding extremely tight tolerances. The rings have a top surface with three grooves, are firmly fixed, and seat perfectly on the cylinder head.

These rings offer excellent mechanical resistance, dissipate heat adequately, and fit the combustion chamber perfectly.

SILICONE SEALING

During the design phase, Athena's R&D department studied and identified the critical areas of the gasket. Engineers identified the need to apply a special silicone seal, using high-precision screen-printing machines, to improve its ultra-secure fit around oil and coolant passages.

Optimal sealing ensures maximum operating efficiency, preventing engine damage or a decrease in performance.

SURFACE COATING

The gaskets undergo a surface finishing treatment to prevent any incident where adhesion to the cylinder head or engine block causes the gasket to tear and deteriorate over time, thus losing its ability to properly seal the engine.

REINFORCED MOTOR GASKET MATERIAL®

Developed by the Athena Group's research laboratories, the engine gasket materials have been designed and manufactured to ensure quality, efficiency, and reliability, which is why Athena gaskets are so sought after and recognized in the racing industry.
The tested Toyota GR Yaris head gasket is made of asbestos-free reinforced materials, consisting of a central steel core coated with two layers of material with a high percentage of aramid fibers, inorganic inserts, and high-adhesion elastomers.

The materials used and the production technologies provide resistance to oils, fuels, water with antifreeze and anti-corrosion agents, as well as high resistance to mechanical and thermal stress and excellent surface conformity.
