The stock turbo inlet pipe is a very robust cast-aluminum component that provides ample airflow for stock and lightly modified vehicles. Despite this, the internal routing leaves room for improvement for those looking for maximum airflow. Using the latest in 3D printing, CAD modeling, and flow bench technology, we created an optimal airflow path from the airbox to the turbocharger. These improvements result in an inlet pipe that is 16.7% less restrictive than the stock unit. Our turbo inlet pipe for the 2017+ Civic Type R is constructed from a robust cast-aluminum CNC-machined turbo compressor inlet connection flange. This mating surface is engineered to OEM specifications, providing a perfect bolt-on fit. The upper portion of the pipe is manufactured from mandrel-bent aluminum tubing, which is professionally TIG-welded to the cast bottom portion. This kit includes a 4-ply silicone coupler to mate the Mishimoto performance intake MAF sensor housing with our new inlet pipe, as well as high-quality stainless-steel worm gear clamps and an adapter flange for the EVAP hose for ease of installation. We offer the option of a red or black powder-coated finish, providing an excellent aesthetic upgrade for your engine bay.
