Give your 2018-2023 Kia Stinger GT some extra chill with the Mishimoto performance intercooler kit. The Stinger made waves upon its release and revolutionized the mid-size sport sedan segment. While the 3.3T Lambda II GDI engine provides one of the best platforms on the market, the intercooler system can be a limiting factor for the Stinger. We’ve replaced the entire intercooler system, from the turbo all the way to the throttle body, to optimize airflow. The Mishimoto performance intercooler replaces the tube-and-fin core mated to plastic end tanks with a stout bar-and-plate core, TIG-welded to cast-aluminum end tanks for greatly improved heat dissipation and flow. We’ve also enlarged the core, increasing its volume by 94% and external fin surface area by 74%.

We maintained the aluminum construction of the stock piping but increased the inner diameter to 3 inches for improved flow through the system with minimal pressure drop. We also made sure to redesign the charge pipe union manifold, increasing the inlets to 2 inches and the outlet to 3 inches for a 51% increase in direct flow from the turbos, while maintaining compatibility with the stock bypass valves. Our charge pipe kit comes in a sleek micro-wrinkle black powder coat for an OEM+ look under the hood and connects via our 5-ply silicone couplers.

Our intercooler kit doesn’t just provide a new look, but also superior performance. On the dyno, the combination of the larger pipe diameters and increased intercooler size translated to a 29°F drop in outlet temperatures, with a gain of 8 hp and 8 lb-ft of torque over the stock setup. What’s more, we increased boost pressure during testing and installed a Stage 1 tune to our Stinger, logging a 41°F drop in outlet temperature, with an additional gain of 6 hp and 8 lb-ft of torque.
