RacingLine's design vision was made possible by their advanced 5-axis CNC manufacturing techniques, giving this kit a greater resemblance to high-end motorsport components than typical aftermarket parts. The result is a combination of maximum on-track performance with lightness, rigidity, and exquisite attention to detail.

Each lightweight, forged monoblock caliper is a single piece made from an ultra-strong forged block. Instead of two bolted halves, the design requires a complex 5-axis CNC machining process to build each caliper in one piece—a technique usually reserved only for the highest-end competition kits.

The result is a 6-piston caliper that is stiffer and lighter than any other, with exceptional cooling and a flawless finish. The robustness of this construction allows for slim-profile calipers which, in addition to providing extreme rigidity and light weight, make wheel fitment much easier.

Given that the RacingLine kit is designed exclusively for VWG vehicles (rather than generic calipers offered by other manufacturers), they have invested significant development time to precisely define piston sizing to match VWG master cylinders and brake boosters, thereby achieving a progressive and precise pedal response.

Despite their size, these calipers weigh significantly less than factory calipers. The caliper, pad, and bracket assembly weighs 5.3 kg (11.7 lb) versus 8.6 kg (18.9 lb) for the Golf 7R/S3 stock equivalent.

The RacingLine kit offers the option of 355mm or 380mm triple-grooved two-piece floating discs, which provide much greater thermal capacity, thereby reducing fade. These high-quality cast carbon floating discs are made from a blend of high-grade steel and carbon, giving them a much higher friction coefficient than conventional steel discs.

The floating assembly between the disc and the top hat allows for thermal expansion and contraction to prevent cracking. Anti-rattle mounts ensure quiet operation.

The 355mm disc kit requires 18” or larger wheels for proper fitment; the 380mm kit requires at least 19” wheels.

The kit includes high-performance ceramic road brake pads. RacingLine has specified a generic pad size for this kit, meaning a wide range of alternative brands and compounds are available to you if you have favorite pads or plan extensive track use.

This Stage 3 brake kit includes everything needed for installation: discs, calipers, mounting brackets, high-performance road pads, and braided steel lines. Additionally, you can opt for RacingLine's hub adapters for increased clearance with original wheels.
