Under demanding driving conditions, the stock oil cooler is easily overwhelmed. Failures begin to occur when the oil cannot dissipate accumulated heat quickly enough, causing it to become thinner and degrade, losing its lubricating properties.

The RacingLine kit solves this problem: by adding an additional oil cooler, located right in the vehicle's front airflow, the oil temperature is reduced by 60° to 70° Fahrenheit (depending, of course, on vehicle use, ambient temperature, and setup).

Unlike other kits, RacingLine’s retains the vehicle's original water-to-oil cooler and complements it with this front-mounted cooler, which offers the dual advantage of doubling the oil cooling capacity and reducing heat transfer from hot oil to the vehicle's cooling system. As the oil moves away from the engine's heat, its temperature significantly drops as it is pumped through the densely packed fins of the large surface area of the 10-row cooler, located right in the cold airflow.

However, it is crucial not to overcool the oil. RacingLine's extensive track development for this kit concluded that a 10-row stacked plate cooler provides the ideal level of cooling. While larger coolers were tested, it was found that, when used in conjunction with the factory cooler, they were too effective, reducing oil temperature below the optimal level for good synthetic oil, hindering optimal engine performance. Remember that cold oil is not desirable!

One of the most ingenious aspects of this kit is the unique sandwich plate oil take-off, which includes a clever internal pressure control valve to direct oil flow through the cooler at the correct rate and volume. This sandwich plate incorporates an integrated pressure relief valve system to protect the system from pressure spikes.

The entire system is designed for easy installation and maximum reliability. The kit includes all necessary parts for a seamless installation.

Unlike other oil cooler kits, with the RacingLine kit, there is no need to remove the intake manifold to access the engine's oil inlet and outlet passages. Instead, the ingenious oil filter adapter allows the oil cooler adapter plate to be installed under the current oil filter housing on all EA888.3 engines; simply unscrew and replace.

The kit includes a replacement oil filter housed in the sleek new machined casing. Made with a medical-grade stainless steel micron filter cloth with magnetic pre-filtration, it is capable of filtering up to 5 times more oil than the factory paper filter. This filter is available for separate purchase for maintenance. Although it is a lifetime filter, RacingLine recommends changing it with every oil change to ensure complete removal of all contamination and ferrous particles.

As expected from a RacingLine kit, it includes precision-machined components using the latest 5-axis CNC machines for perfect accuracy, first time, every time. All metal parts are hand-polished and anodized in a durable, glossy midnight black finish. Laser-etched logos perfectly complete the aesthetics.

The oil lines feature an attractive braided nylon outer layer reinforced with an inner stainless steel weave for maximum strength. A protective outer sleeve prevents any friction damage during use.

The oil cooler's front radiator mounting brackets securely position it in the optimal airflow and ensure that oil temperature drops and excess heat is efficiently dissipated.
