With many of these vehicles frequently seeing track time, the team at Mishimoto decided to develop a high-performance oil cooler kit that would not only improve durability but also provide the necessary power for track driving. The result: an extremely efficient core that reduces oil temperatures by 30°F (16.7°C). With a 110% increase in core thickness, this oil cooler kit increases oil capacity by 0.44 quarts. The oil cooler end tanks, cast from a single piece of aluminum and TIG welded to the core, have been designed for maximum reliability, giving you the confidence you need to push your E46 M3 to its limits. This oil cooler kit is designed for a complete bolt-on fitment, with no modifications needed to work with either the stock radiator or the Mishimoto BMW E46 performance aluminum radiator. To ensure a complete direct fit, Mishimoto engineers designed a fully CNC-machined 6061 aluminum and 303 stainless steel BMW E46 oil line fitting kit, making the removal of the stock hard lines and installation of the stainless steel braided lines a breeze. This kit includes pre-assembled stainless steel lines with -10AN fittings to help route oil to and from the cooler, as well as a black Mishimoto oil line bracket to prevent lines from chafing.
