Radium Engineering Fluid Lock PCV Oil Catch Can Kit for 2022+ Subaru WRX

Radium Engineering catch cans feature oversized 10AN ORB ports, a 4AN ORB drain port, two-stage oil separation baffling, and an O-ring sealed dipstick. These kits mount using factory holes and integrate seamlessly with surrounding components. They do NOT vent to atmosphere (VTA) so they are emissions compliant and track legal. Closed-loop systems remove oil and sludge from PCV gasses before it is routed to the engine for combustion. A closed-loop system also promotes negative crankcase pressure for optimal performance. Additionally, closed systems prevent unwanted oil vapors from entering the cabin. Integrated dipsticks in the catch cans allow for easy inspection of accumulated fluid.

The PCV oil catch can kit installs in line between the PCV valve and intake manifold and promotes clean, filtered air to be returned to the engine. When the intake manifold pressure is near or above atmospheric pressure, the PCV system check valves close and therefore these hoses do not experience flow. Conversely, PCV system hoses experience controlled vacuum when the engine is idling, steady state, and decelerating. This would typically draw unwanted crankcase vapors, unburnt fuel, and oil sludge into the intake manifold immediately after high load operation. 20-0755-FL CATCH CAN KIT, CCV, Subaru WRX VB, FLUID LOCK. With no permanent modifications required, the CCV oil catch can mounts underneath the OEM air intake ducting. To maintain factory functionality, the CCV catch can connects in line between the crankcase ventilation (CCV) port and the turbo inlet pipe. At low loads, it experiences atmospheric pressure. However, when the engine is at high load (WOT), the line experiences high flow from the crankcase to the intake system. This would typically lead to oil and sludge building up in the air filter inlet tube. The CCV oil catch can catches this blow-by, allowing clean, filtered air to return to the intake.
