Radium Engineering catch cans feature large 10AN ORB ports, a 4AN ORB drain port, two-stage oil separation baffling, and an O-ring sealed dipstick. These kits mount using factory provisions and integrate seamlessly with surrounding components. These two catch cans (PCV and CCV) work completely independently and are sold individually or as a set. They do NOT vent to atmosphere (VTA), so they are emissions-compliant and track legal. Closed-loop systems remove oil and sludge from the PCV gases before they are routed into the engine for combustion. A closed-loop system also promotes negative crankcase pressure for optimal performance. Additionally, closed systems keep unwanted oil vapors from entering the cabin. Integrated dipsticks on the catch cans allow for easy inspection of the accumulated fluid. No cutting, drilling, or permanent modifications to the vehicle are required.

This catch can plumbed inline with the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) valve and retains its original function. When the intake manifold pressure is near or greater than atmospheric pressure, the PCV check valve closes, and this hose, therefore, experiences no flow. Conversely, the PCV hose will experience a metered vacuum when the engine is idling, cruising, and decelerating. This would typically draw unwanted crankcase vapors, unburnt fuel, and oil sludge into the intake manifold immediately after high load operation. Note: Because Radium catch cans are pressure sealed, they are ideal for this turbocharged application, so connecting into the intake manifold is permissible.
