OVERVIEW

An oil catch can is essential on a high-performance vehicle to protect the engine from the high levels of crankcase blow-by accumulated during aggressive driving. Excess oil-saturated air recirculating back into the intake can lead to a decrease in performance. Radium Engineering oil catch cans feature oversized 10AN ORB ports, a 4AN ORB drain port, two-stage oil separation baffling, and an O-ring sealed dipstick.

Radium Engineering offers several complete stand-alone catch can kits for the Evo 8-9, sold individually or as a set through the menu above. All kits are compatible with the stock strut bar. The first type does NOT vent to atmosphere (VTA), making it emissions compliant and track legal. Closed-loop systems recirculate clean, filtered air back into the engine for combustion and to promote negative crankcase pressure, optimizing performance. Additionally, closed systems keep unwanted oil vapors out of the cabin. The VTA crankcase kit does not recirculate crankcase gases back through the engine and is designed for racing vehicles that generate a high amount of blow-by.
CCV Catch Can Kit 20-0117-FL COMPATIBILITY: Mitsubishi Evolution VIII, Mitsubishi Evolution IX. This kit installs next to the right shock tower and plumbs in line between the PCV valve and the intake manifold. It maintains the OEM closed PCV system operation, preventing oil and other contaminants from entering the intake manifold. Note: Because Radium catch cans are pressure-sealed, they are safe for forced induction applications, so connecting to the intake manifold without a check valve is permissible.
