Radium Engineering MK5 Supra CCV Oil Catch Can Kit

Radium Engineering Catch Cans feature large 10AN ORB ports, a 4AN ORB drain port, two-stage oil separation baffling, and an o-ring sealed dipstick. These kits install using factory holes and integrate seamlessly with surrounding components. They do NOT vent to atmosphere (VTA), so they are emissions compliant and track legal. Closed loop systems remove oil and sludge from PCV gasses before routing them to the engine for combustion. A closed loop system also promotes negative crankcase pressure for optimal performance. Furthermore, closed systems prevent unwanted oil vapors from entering the cabin. The integrated dipsticks on the catch cans allow for easy inspection of the accumulated fluid. No cutting, drilling or permanent modifications are required.

The CCV catch can mounts to two holes on the front radiator support. It was designed specifically to not interfere with sway bars. Additionally, this location remains clear of aftermarket parts such as an upgraded turbocharger or modified intake piping.

To retain factory functionality, the CCV catch can is installed inline between the crankcase ventilation (CCV) port and the intake pipe. At low loads, it is under atmospheric pressure. However, when the engine is under high load (WOT), the line experiences high flow from the crankcase to the intake system. This would typically lead to oil and sludge accumulation in the air filter intake pipe. This oil accumulation would spread and be found in the intercooler, which reduces the heat exchanger’s thermal efficiency and diminishes performance. The CCV catch can captures these contaminants and facilitates the return of clean, filtered air to the intake.
