Firstly, our high-performance stainless steel oil filter permanently eliminates the well-known B58 oil filter disintegration problem. By replacing the original paper filter with MMR's advanced high-flow, high-filtration stainless steel filter, you'll protect your engine from costly (and potentially worse) repairs caused by the widely documented collapse failure of the original filter.
In addition to this exceptional filtration, the long-lasting filter material allows for five times the flow of comparable paper oil filters. Its design provides uniform filtration across the entire filter surface.
As a perfect complement to your new filter, the machined oil filter housing is a direct replacement that substitutes the cheap, fragile, and crack-prone plastic housing, which can lead to oil leaks. Of course, its glossy black finish and solid aerospace-grade 6061 aluminum construction add a touch of elegance to the engine bay. But it's not just about aesthetics. The MMR housing incorporates an integrated pressure-controlled oil bypass system, meaning there's no need to transfer the original plastic bypass valve from the original filter housing to the MMR housing.
The last part of this kit is our best-selling magnetic sump plug. It's one of the simplest and most effective upgrades you can install on your engine to prolong its lifespan. As the engine wears, tiny metal particles become suspended in the oil, accelerating wear with each use. Our magnetic sump plugs help separate these ferrous particles.
