Radium Engineering Venturi Jet Pump Kit

The Radium Engineering jet pump is an effective device for scavenging fuel from one side of the tank to the other. Fuel flow through the venturi creates a vacuum at the perpendicular port. The effectiveness of this vacuum is demonstrated in the video above.

Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) jet pumps are commonly found in vehicles with saddlebag-type fuel tanks (RWD or AWD) and are designed for factory fuel pump flow rates. When installing a higher flowing pump, the OEM jet pump becomes a significant restriction in the return line, causing high fuel pressure. In some cases, drilling out the OEM jet pump can alleviate pressure, but its operation is compromised. The Radium Engineering jet pump is designed for high-flow aftermarket pumps and includes different venturi orifices to accommodate a wide range of pump flow rates.

The Radium venturi jet pump uses a machined, anodized, and laser-etched aluminum housing. The kit includes 3 interchangeable orifices which were precisely calculated and vacuum pressure tested with multiple pump combinations.

All three hose connections are compatible with 5/16" or 3/8" ID hose. Furthermore, the crossover siphon port easily adapts to common hoses, as it uses female 6AN ORB (9/16-18 O-ring) threads.

NOTE: WHEN INSTALLING, DO NOT FORGET TO REMOVE THE OEM VENTURI JET PUMP! The system will NOT function properly if you try to flow through the restrictive OEM venturi jet pump.

NOTE: A hose (not included) must be attached to the 8.5mm jet pump outlet barb. The outlet of this hose must be submerged in fuel at the bottom of the tank. This prevents the vacuum created by the jet pump from sucking air counter to the flow. Alternatively, a duckbill valve (18-0026) can be attached directly to the jet pump outlet barb.
