Forge is proud to present the latest high-performance intake system for the popular 1.5 TSI Evo engine, found in a wide range of VW, Audi, Skoda, and Seat vehicles.

This kit includes a Forge high-flow, pleated, synthetic nanofiber Ram Air filter. Its optimal size and fit adapt to the available space, providing superior flow and filtration, allowing the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine to breathe better. Additionally, it has a larger surface area than the stock filter and many competing alternatives.

The intake diameters have been carefully tuned to provide the exact amount of air, ensuring consistent and solid power gains across the entire rev range, with no loss of torque at low RPM. The piping system is specifically designed to feed the turbo without interruption. This translates into greater intake acoustics during acceleration, enhancing the driving experience and adding a more exciting touch to the TSI EVO engine.

How was the kit made?
As with all intake systems designed by Forge, high airflow is critical. For this reason, Forge strove to incorporate a large-diameter, high-flow silicone hose with an adapter for the turbocharger inlet. This helps improve engine performance and airflow in various ways. The kit directs air straight into the turbocharger and allows more air to be compressed than the original intake duct thanks to its increased capacity. This can have a positive effect on vehicle acceleration after prolonged deceleration or between gear shifts, as more air is kept within the intake system.

The intake duct developed by Forge features a volume increase of over 50%, with a 46% increase in the turbocharger inlet area. This, combined with the absence of internal baffles or noise restrictors, improves engine sound and throttle response.

Using Solidworks®, CAD engineers designed the heat shield to perfectly match all the contours of the engine bay. This shield, combined with specially formulated thermal coatings, protects the intake from radiant heat while directing cold air from the original intake duct to the filter and housing.

All supplied machined components are made from 6082 alloy and anodized to ensure that the alloy does not fatigue and remains corrosion-free for years.

This kit is completed with high-quality stainless steel hose clamps.

What are the benefits of this kit?

During testing, Forge achieved gains of up to 11 hp and 13 lb-ft across the rev range from 2900 RPM. When installed in conjunction with an ECU remap and a high-flow exhaust, the figure can be much higher, as the original intake system is restricted on high-performance engines. The FMINDK30, combined with an FMDV22 atmospheric blow-off valve kit or an FMDV30 recirculation valve kit, completely transforms the driving experience and engine sound of your 1.5 TSI EVO. The Forge silicone hoses in this kit have been designed with a high-quality modified silicone inner liner, known as fluorosilicone.

This means the hoses are suitable for use with modern long-life coolants, Organic Acid Technology coolants (OAT), or oil mist air.

The construction of the hoses has been designed to exceed that of the original components and will improve any engine bay both technically and aesthetically.

The use of a fluorosilicone liner ensures that Forge silicone hoses are the undisputed market leaders.

Note: Please be aware that if your vehicle has the MAF sensor shown below in the intake, this intake will not be compatible. We currently do not offer an alternative for vehicles with a MAF sensor.

WARNING: DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN

When installing the filter, ensure you do not overtighten the hose clamp that connects them. Doing so could crush the part, leading to fitment or performance issues. The recommended tightening torque for this clamp is 2 to 2.4 Nm.
