The unique combination of design, metallurgy and engineering come together to offer drivers what they expect from high-performance Trimetal engine bearings.
Engineered to withstand high RPM conditions, ACL Race Series engine bearings are available for many popular 4, 6, and 8 cylinder applications and feature the following:
High-strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue resistance.
Hardened steel backing on all connecting rod bearings to improve bearing lining support and facilitate its retention in the housing.
Increased crush for improved bearing retention.
Elimination of flash plating on the back of the bearings for improved heat transfer and maximum grip between the bearing and its housing.
Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPM and facilitate hydrodynamic oil film formation.
3/4 grooved main bearings to optimize load surface and oil flow to connecting rod bearings.
Tight and consistent wall tolerances to maintain uniform clearances. Enlarged ID chamfers on bearing edges, where necessary, to accommodate large fillet radii on high-performance crankshafts.
