Product details

The unique combination of design, metallurgy, and engineering come together to offer drivers what they expect from high-performance Trimetal engine bearings.

Designed to withstand high RPM conditions, ACL Race Series engine bearings are available for many popular 4, 6, and 8 cylinder applications and feature the following:

High strength overlay plate with reduced thickness for improved fatigue resistance.
Hardened steel backing on all connecting rod bearings for improved bearing lining support and easier housing retention.
Increased crush for better bearing retention.
Elimination of flash plating on the back of the bearings for improved heat transfer and maximized grip between the bearing and its housing.
Increased eccentricity to compensate for bore distortion at high RPMs and facilitate the formation of hydrodynamic oil films.
3/4 grooved main bearings to optimize the load-bearing surface and oil flow to the connecting rod bearings.
Tight and consistent wall tolerances to maintain uniform clearances. Enlarged ID chamfers on bearing edges, where necessary, to accommodate large fillet radii on high-performance crankshafts.
