The Forge intercooler features a 123% larger frontal surface area than the standard component (BMW part no. 1751761759605). Having pioneered the staged performance curve in 2006, Forge Motorsport is uniquely positioned to produce a direct-fit intercooler that improves the performance of the BMW three-cylinder 1.5-liter engine. Its end tanks are made of cast aluminum for optimal internal flow, developed from 3D-printed prototypes created in their R&D department in Gloucester, UK.

The "bar and plate" design used was the result of months of testing different designs. This one offered the best balance between internal flow, external flow, and heat transfer. As an official supplier to the Mini Challenge, the Forge intercooler for the Mini JCW F56 offers 123% more frontal surface area.

The intercooler connectors are CNC-machined to ensure a perfect fit with the standard hose connectors. It is supplied complete with all mounting hardware. This intercooler has been designed as a direct replacement for the original and requires no cutting or modifications.
