Following the launch of the intercooler for the RS3 8P chassis, the team at Forge has also created the intercooler for the RS3 8V chassis, thus offering a real power increase and significant temperature reduction. While the 8V chassis shares many components with the older 8P, the space available behind the bumper is shaped differently, and the crash bar has also changed. This has necessitated a completely new intercooler and crash bar setup for this later chassis.
The core of the RS3 8V features a huge 640x250x100mm bar and plate design. This provides it with 55% more surface area than standard, and an even more impressive 94% increase in volume. The end tanks incorporate integrated hoses to retain the original turbo hoses, though replacement FO-FMKT024 hoses can also be fitted if desired. As with the 8P chassis, Forge supplies a genuine Audi RS3 crash bar, internally modified to accommodate the new larger core. Both the bar and the core are finished in a black powder coat as standard for maximum durability.
