Form-A-Shield™ solves the problem of needing a direct contact, extreme heat resistant thermal barrier.
Capable of withstanding direct temperatures up to 760 °C (1400 °F), Form-A-Shield can be applied to exhaust manifolds, intake pipes, turbocharger housings, and downpipes, drastically reducing the radiant temperature of exhaust gases. Made from 25 mm (10 in.) textured aluminum bonded to a high-temperature basalt thermal barrier material, Form-A-Shield can be applied directly to hot surfaces, helping to lower under-hood temperatures and retain more heat in the exhaust system.
Extremely flexible and adaptable to multiple shapes and configurations.
Durable and resistant to oil and chemical spills.
Withstands direct heat up to 760 °C (1400 °F) or more.
Excellent insulator anywhere near exhaust pipes.
Can be applied directly to hot surfaces.
Attaches with DEI straps, clamps, or tie-wraps.
No adhesive.
NOTE: In non-hot areas, use DEI spray adhesive with Form-A-Shield as a thermal barrier/reflector.
