The MCE18, an acronym for "Multifunction Can Bus Extension," is a versatile module that can be indispensable in various applications. Our range of displays, including MFD15, MFD28, MFD32, and MFD32S, come standard with four analog inputs. This is sufficient in most cases, but there are situations where more inputs are needed to meet specific requirements.

In these cases, the MCE18 offers the perfect solution. You can easily connect your sensors to this module and transmit the data to the desired device using the flexible CAN Bus protocol, whether it's one of our displays or another compatible device.

But not only displays benefit from our MCE18. Programmable control units often also have a limited number of inputs. With our module, you can easily expand these inputs and send the data directly to the control unit to meet your needs.

These are the main features of the MCE18: - 9 analog inputs in the 0 to 5 volt range to capture a wide range of sensor information. - 8 digital inputs for monitoring the status of switches, buttons, or other on/off devices. - 3 digital outputs (new in version 2!), capable of supporting up to 500 mA and switching to ground (LOW SIDE).

Our products have been rigorously tested and are compatible with various devices, including CANchecked MFD28, MFD32, MFD32S, MaxxECU, Ecumaster, LinkECU, Haltech (emulating an IO Extender A+B or only B), and will soon also be compatible with Syvecs and Motec.
In the MCE18 package you will find: - The MCE18 module with housing. - A 34-pin Superseal connector (TE 4-1437290-0) for a reliable connection. - Superseal 1.0 20AWG pins (TE 3-1447221-4) for stable wiring. - 3 jumpers to customize the configuration according to your needs (Can Bus termination, 2 1K pull-up resistors for NTC sensors).

A particularly noteworthy feature of the MCE18 are its three digital outputs, switchable to ground (LOW SIDE) and capable of up to 500 mA.
