Forge enjoys a solid reputation for offering first-class solutions in intercooler radiator upgrade kits for high-performance German vehicles such as the Audi S4 and Mercedes AMG A45. With this in mind, Forge is proud to introduce another PolarCooler as the first auxiliary cooling system for the VW T6/T6.1 2.0 TDI. After extensive road and dyno testing with three different water core styles with varying fin configurations, we are pleased to present the ultimate front-mounted water cooling solution.

With modern ECU remapping demanding more performance from powerful engines, in certain conditions, the vehicle risks receiving insufficiently cooled air, affecting engine efficiency and ultimately leading to power loss.

Using the knowledge gained from developing these upgraded intercooler radiators, we have applied our proven testing and development procedure to create an upgraded kit for the Volkswagen T6 2.0 TDI 180 and 204 BHP Transporter. The all-aluminium Forge charge cooler radiator offers superior reliability over the original radiator with plastic end tanks, which can fail over time. By maximising the available space behind the vehicle's bumper, the Forge charge cooler radiator offers a 50% increase in frontal area and a 50% increase in volume over the original.

The radiator features a single-pass design with diagonally opposed inlet and outlet, optimising coolant flow across the entire core.

An increase of over 50% in capacity due to a Super Tech cooling core with 18 fpi (fins per inch) for maximum cooling.

The PolarCooler replaces the OEM charge cooler radiator.

This charge cooler has been designed with a single-pass water flow to ensure that the entire core surface is utilised, resulting in maximum cooling efficiency.

This unique design has led to a reduction in inlet temperatures by 20°C (68°F) over three consecutive dyno tests. The Forge PolarCooler installs in the original position and is supplied with an anti-corrosion black powder coat on the hand-fabricated end tanks and core, or in race-spec raw alloy.
A reduction in coolant temperature directly translates to improved charge air cooling.
By increasing the volume of water entering the cooling system, thermal temperatures are kept much lower for an extended period, ensuring increased performance and efficiency, ideal for spirited driving and commercial van use.
All Forge silicone coolant hoses are designed with a high-quality modified silicone inner liner, known as fluorosilicone.
