EcuMaster EMU BLACK USB-C

The EMU Black is a class-leading, stand-alone engine management system, designed to operate the most advanced and complex engines currently available. It is the successor to our proven EMU system. During the EMU's lifetime, we collected a large amount of data allowing us to substantially improve the hardware and software of the device.

EMU Black is aimed at race cars, road cars, motorcycles, boats, and stationary engine applications.

EMU Black controls fuel injection, ignition, and auxiliary systems on 1-12 cylinder engines, including those with electronic throttle (drive-by-wire) and variable valve timing (VVT).

It can directly control up to 6 passive coils or 12 smart coils and requires no external amplifier/power modules to do so. Sophisticated electronic throttle strategies provide a wide range of throttle control, along with advanced plausibility (fault/error) checking for safety.

System capabilities increase over time due to easily upgradable and free firmware (e.g. new strategies, trigger patterns, CAN data streams).
The EMU offers more built-in value than any other aftermarket ECU. It easily matches the functionality of other stand-alone management systems with multiple inputs and outputs. Unlike many other ECU systems, the EMU features a built-in wideband lambda input (Bosch LSU 4.2 and LSU 4.9 sensors wire directly), a built-in MAP control connector (built-in 4-bar MAP sensor), two EGT probe inputs, and an input for directly connecting a Flex Fuel ethanol content sensor. All of this provides greater flexibility, reduces cost, and eliminates the need for external or supplementary signal conditioning control systems and the associated wiring that other management systems require. Ecumaster brand products do not ship to the US, Canada, and Mexico.
