Intercooler Upgrade Kit 200001124

The WAGNERTUNING high-performance intercooler features a new competition core (Tube Fin) with external dimensions of 287 mm x 185 mm x 115 mm / 11.3 inches x 7.3 inches x 4.5 inches. This intercooler core was developed directly for the high demands of the BMW M3/M4 and offers a 114% larger external core volume compared to the stock intercooler. The calculated ratio between the inner and outer cooling surface generates maximum heat transfer while also providing the best possible internal airflow. The cast aluminum end tanks were designed in CAD and optimized in CFD simulations. The result is excellent cooling properties with minimal back pressure. The charge air cooling is therefore not carried out by the ambient air as the cooling medium (as is customary), but by its own cooling water circuit. A reduction in the cooling water temperature directly results in improved charge air cooling performance. This is precisely where the advantages of the upgraded water cooler from WAGNERTUNING come into play.
The newly developed competition cores of the WAGNERTUNING high-performance water coolers increase the radiator volume of the OEM water coolers by 89% for front mounting and 94% for side mounting. The calculated ratio between the inner and outer cooling surface generates maximum heat transfer while allowing sufficient airflow for the surrounding components (e.g. engine water cooler) for their own heat exchange.
