Turbosmart’s new Kompact valve kit has been developed as a direct plug-and-play solution for the new C63 AMG. Despite its focus on high performance, Mercedes’ standard bypass valves are plastic, leak pressure and struggle to hold it, especially on modified vehicles. Turbosmart’s Kompact kit for the C63 includes two machined aluminium valves that directly replace the factory bypass valves. The Kompact holds pressure better than the factory valves and is never overcome by it. The result is more efficient performance from the factory turbochargers, as well as the crisp sound of a piston-type blow-off valve. For those seeking the signature blow-off valve sound, the Dual Port vents to atmosphere while also recirculating air, while the Plumb Back recirculates 100% of air for quiet, OEM-style operation. Unlike the factory valves, the Turbosmart replacement kit is mechanically controlled by manifold pressure, meaning the valves open when the driver wants them to, not when a computer decides. This puts control back in the driver’s hands and ensures the valves don’t unnecessarily release pressure.
