The FMIC.Pro oil catch can is an oil vapor separation system designed specifically for 6.2-liter (LS3 / L99) V8 engines. Its function is to effectively capture oil vapors and contaminants before they enter the intake system. In high-performance engines, it improves intake cleanliness and engine stability, eliminating common problems such as power loss, carbon buildup, oil-contaminated intercoolers, and the risk of leaks in the forced induction system.
The FMIC.Pro system is easy to install, simple to maintain, and recommended at all modification stages, from stock vehicles to high-power builds.
During engine operation, some combustion gases enter the crankcase. The higher the power and boost pressure, the greater the amount of gases and oil vapors routed through the engine's ventilation system. In the factory setup, these vapors return to the intake, leading to:
- Reduced combustion quality and power loss - Carbon buildup on intake valves - Oil accumulation in the intercooler and reduced cooling efficiency - Lower octane of the air-fuel mixture
The FMIC.Pro oil catch can eliminates these problems through multi-stage filtration. Clean gases return to the intake system, while oil and contaminants are trapped in the reservoir.
