Mishimoto engineers are excited to introduce a new line of direct-fit parts for the 2015+ Mustang, including the Mishimoto Mustang EcoBoost Baffled Oil Catch Can, designed to reduce carbon accumulation in your 2015+ Mustang, a common problem with direct fuel injection engines. Thousands of test miles were logged on our EcoBoost Mustang to determine which catch can setup would work best. Mishimoto engineers found that on most vehicles, placing the oil catch can in the vacuum-assisted PCV system of the vehicle will yield the most accumulation of oil during normal and aggressive driving, whereas an oil catch can placed in the crankcase ventilation system on the left side of the engine will yield almost no accumulation on stock or lightly modified vehicles. Having only one oil catch can attached to the PCV system will work best for your EcoBoost Mustang. The Mishimoto Mustang EcoBoost Oil Catch Can Kit utilizes the Mishimoto Compact 2-Port Baffled Oil Catch Can with a bronze filter and internal baffles to better separate oil from the PCV vapors. The kit includes two direct-fit silicone hoses with pre-assembled quick-disconnect fittings for a simple installation. It also includes a direct-fit mounting bracket that is not only extremely easy to install but also places the catch can in an accessible location on your EcoBoost Mustang. Two 1/2" CNC-machined aluminum barbs connect the hoses to the can. Like all Mishimoto EcoBoost Mustang parts, this baffled catch can kit comes with the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty. Our catch cans differ from most air-oil separator (AOS) systems in several ways. First, our catch cans are not heated. This means that all blow-by can condense in the can, including low-octane oil vapors and contaminated fuel vapors. Most AOS systems also drain the blow-by back into the oil pan, whereas our catch cans trap the blow-by and keep it out of the engine permanently.
