I-beam connecting rods for Citroën/Peugeot 2.0L XU10J4RS are manufactured from high-strength 4340 steel and designed for high performance, extreme durability, and added rigidity. The bushings are made of AMPCO 18 material, which provides excellent wear and fatigue resistance, and feature a radial groove that acts as an oil reservoir. They undergo shot peening to relieve internal stresses and a multi-stage heat treatment to increase their rigidity. Strict production process tolerances ensure a perfect fit and optimize oil clearances. Flexion and torsion are strictly controlled. Each connecting rod includes ARP 2000 hex head bolts with a tensile strength of 220,000 psi. Optionally, ARP L19 material with a tensile strength of 260,000 psi can be purchased.
