DEI's original Titanium™ exhaust insulating wrap, with LR Technology, is made from pulverized lava rock, stranded into a fiber material, and woven into a proprietary weave. NOTE: Wrapping catalytic converter is not recommended as overheating may reduce its life. Instead, try our Corvette catalytic converter shield or create your own with our Floor & Tunnel Shield II™.

Caution Note:

Exhaust wrap is not designed to be moved or removed after heat cycles. After heating, the fibers lose their initial flexibility. This does not reduce the thermal properties of the exhaust wrap. Please keep this in mind before removal. For this reason, avoid wrapping flexible pipes or joints.

Note on Titanium exhaust systems:

DEI DOES NOT recommend wrapping titanium exhaust. The alloys used in the manufacture of titanium exhaust systems are typically thin and are designed to dissipate heat quickly. Wrapping any titanium exhaust pipe, regardless of brand, can trap too much heat and cause the titanium alloy to become brittle and prone to premature cracking. If you want to reduce heat in a titanium exhaust system, DEI recommends using alternatives such as our flexible heat shields.
