EXO Series Exhaust Wrap solves the problem of extreme exhaust heat in extreme environments such as off-roading and motorsports.
EXO Series Exhaust Wrap is engineered for use in extreme environments. Traditional exhaust wraps have not been able to withstand the extreme use involved in off-roading, dirt tracks, desert and other modalities, with exposure to water and dirt. The EXO Series has a dual-layer design, utilizing a combination of high-temperature fiberglass, coated with a 304-grade stainless steel exoskeleton. This unique construction maintains high heat protection while offering superior abrasion and impact protection. Our unique Air Gap Technology prevents direct contact of the fiberglass wrap to the hot surface, creating an insulating air barrier.
EXO Series Exhaust Wrap features a special 1.5” (3.8 cm) width, making it easy to install on any type of header, exhaust pipe, or exhaust system, perfect for spot impact protection. Additionally, the stainless steel exoskeleton locks into place as you overlap, keeping the wrap tight and making installation easy. It delivers exceptional appearance and robust performance for long-lasting durability. Available in black or tan in 1.5” x 10, 20 or 30 ft. rolls.
NOTE: We do not recommend wrapping catalytic converters, as overheating can reduce their lifespan. Instead, try our Corvette catalytic converter shield or build your own shield with our Floor & Tunnel Shield II™.
Caution Note:
The wrap is not designed to be moved or removed after heat cycling. Once heated, the fibers lose their initial flexibility. This does not reduce the thermal properties of the exhaust wrap. Please keep this in mind before removing. For this reason, avoid wrapping flexible pipes or flexible joints.
Note on Titanium Exhaust Systems:
DEI does NOT recommend wrapping titanium exhausts. The alloys used in the manufacturing of titanium exhaust systems tend to be thin and are designed to dissipate heat quickly. Wrapping any titanium exhaust pipe, regardless of brand, can retain heat. Excessive heat can cause the titanium alloy to become brittle and prone to premature cracking. If you want to reduce heat in a titanium exhaust system, DEI recommends using alternatives like our flexible heat shields.
