EXO Series Exhaust Heat Wrap solves the problem of extreme exhaust heat in extreme environments like off-road and motorsports.
EXO Series Exhaust Heat Wrap is designed for use in extreme environments. Traditional exhaust wraps have not been able to withstand the extreme use involved in off-roading, dirt tracks, desert, and other modalities, with exposure to water and dirt. The EXO Series features a dual-layer design, utilizing a combination of high-temperature fiberglass, covered with a 304-grade stainless steel exoskeleton. This unique construction maintains high heat protection while offering superior abrasion and impact protection. Our exclusive Air Gap technology prevents direct contact of the fiberglass wrap with the hot surface, creating an insulating air barrier.
The EXO Series Exhaust Heat Wrap has a special width of 1.5" (3.8 cm), making it easy to install on any type of manifold, exhaust pipe, or exhaust system, perfect for spot impact protection. Additionally, the stainless steel exoskeleton locks into place by overlapping, keeping the wrap tight and making installation easy. It offers an exceptional appearance and robust performance for extended durability. Available in black or tan in 1.5" x 10', 20', or 30' rolls.
NOTE: Wrapping the catalytic converter is not recommended, as overheating can reduce its lifespan. Instead, try our Corvette catalytic converter shield or create your own shield with our Floor and Tunnel Shield II™.
Caution Note:
Wrap is not designed to be moved or removed after heat cycles. After heating, fibers will lose their initial flexibility. This does not reduce the thermal properties of the exhaust wrap. Please keep this in mind before removal. For this reason, avoid wrapping flexible pipes or flex joints.
Note on Titanium Exhaust Systems:
DEI DOES NOT recommend wrapping titanium exhausts. The alloys used in the manufacture of titanium exhaust systems tend to be thin and are designed to dissipate heat quickly. Wrapping any titanium exhaust pipe, regardless of brand, can retain heat. Excessive heat can cause the titanium alloy to become brittle and prone to premature cracking. If you wish to reduce heat in a titanium exhaust system, DEI recommends using alternatives such as our flexible heat shields.
