Pyrotect's high-quality PyroCell Elite fuel cells are best-in-class, constructed from ultra-durable, double-layer urethane fabric with internal foam baffling and featuring Nuke Performance's integrated CFC unit, which eliminates the need for an external surge tank, necessary in traditional fuel cell setups. They are perfect for fuel injection systems. The cell is compatible with all types of fuels, including ethanol and methanol.

The Pyrotect Elite fuel tank with the Nuke Performance CFC unit is delivered with the unique Nuke Performance Competition Fuel Cell unit as a replacement for the fill plate. The CFC unit is the perfect solution for a simplified, high-performance fuel system where safety is paramount. With the integrated surge tank, this configuration eliminates the need for a bulky external surge tank. With all necessary fuel pumps mounted inside the fabric fuel bladder itself, this is all you need. This frees up space and weight, and increases safety as fewer fuel line connections are needed and no external fuel pumps are used.

Pyrotect Elite fuel tanks are supplied with the unique Nuke Performance CFC unit with an integrated fuel surge tank and fuel pump hanger, and are compatible with single or dual high-pressure fuel pumps from Deatschwerks, AEM, Ti Automotive, Walbro, Bosch, Fuelab, Aeromotive, and many more. It is compatible with all common 39mm fuel pumps, as well as larger ones like the Deatschwerks DW400, Walbro GST400/450/520, Bosch BR540, and Aeromotive Stealth 450. One fuel pump is mounted inside the tank, on an adjustable height aluminum hanger, and one or two pumps are mounted on a machined aluminum hanger inside the surge tank. This solution is designed to provide constant fuel flow for power outputs between 200 and 2000 horsepower without fuel starvation issues, even under demanding driving conditions, thanks to the internal surge tank and Pyrotect internal foam baffling system.

The Pyrotect Elite fuel tank with the Nuke Performance CFC unit is compatible with most common fuel pumps. Together with Nuke Performance fuel pump mounting kits, it has never been easier to set up a high-performance fuel system.

How are the fuel pumps mounted inside the Pyrotect Pyrocell Elite?
The single fuel pump mounted in the fuel bladder acts as a scavenger pump, ensuring that the high-pressure fuel pumps inside the oversized 2-liter (0.53-gallon) surge tank always have enough fuel to maximize flow and minimize the risk of fuel starvation, which can severely damage the engine. The CFC unit comes with everything needed to install the fuel pumps of your choice, but we recommend adding one of our fuel pump mounting kits for optimal operation. All fuel pumps are securely mounted in any condition thanks to the machined fuel pump hangers.

The AN-6 fuel cell vent kit couples directly to the vent valve of the CFC unit for easy installation.

The CFC unit is equipped with an AN-8 (3/4 UNF) to AN-6 male rollover valve vent fitting, and the easiest way to route the vent line to a safe and functional position is by using a Nuke Performance fuel cell vent kit. Available in various sizes, from AN-6 to AN-12, you can choose the kit that best suits your needs. If you want to use a larger diameter vent line than AN-6, you will also need to change the vent valve fitting. The vent kit includes a 1m (3.3ft) nitrile fuel hose and a universal air filter that prevents debris from entering the fuel system.

When safety and functionality are paramount, choose the fuel tank with foam baffles and a heavy-duty double-coated fabric bladder, the lightest on the market.

Pyrotect Elite fuel tanks, made in the USA, feature factory-modified internal foam baffles, adapted to the mounting needs of the Nuke Performance CFC unit. The tough urethane bladder, encased in a lightweight aluminum shell, is much safer than simpler solutions like fuel economy tanks and welded aluminum tanks. The Pyrotect Elite series is among the safest fuel tanks on the market today and has been developed from a long history in professional motorsport. Equipped with an ultra-durable double-layer urethane fabric bladder and an aluminum container, it is available in various sizes, from 8 to 26 gallons (30 to 98 liters). With the Nuke Performance CFC unit, the only thing you need between the fuel cell and the engine is a fuel filter, just like in a standard fuel system. The internal bladder is completely safe for all types of fuels, but if used with alcoholic fuel, it should not be stored for a long time without first flushing it with non-alcoholic fuel.

FIA Certification:

FIA-certified fuel cells have a 5-year lifespan and, in some countries, can be recertified for an additional 2 years, up to a maximum of 7 years from the date of manufacture. Fuel cells must be sent to Pyrotect for recertification. To comply with FIA regulations, the fuel cell bladder must be installed inside the included aluminum container. The dimensions given on our website correspond to the included container.
