Pyrotect's high-quality PyroCell Elite fuel cells are best in class, manufactured from ultra-durable double-layered urethane fabric with internal foam baffling and with the integrated CFC unit from Nuke Performance, which eliminates the need for an external surge tank, necessary on traditional fuel cell setups. They are perfect for fuel injected systems. The cell is compatible with all types of fuel including ethanol and methanol.

The Pyrotect Elite Fuel Cell with the Nuke Performance CFC Unit is delivered with the unique Nuke Performance Competition Fuel Cell Unit as a replacement for the fill plate. The CFC unit is the perfect solution for a simplified and high-performing fuel system where safety is paramount. With the integrated surge tank, this setup removes the need for an external surge tank that takes up a lot of space. With all necessary fuel pumps mounted within the fabric fuel bladder itself, this is all you need. This frees up space and weight, and increases safety as fewer fuel line connections are needed and no external fuel pumps are used.

The Pyrotect Elite Fuel Cells are delivered with the unique Nuke Performance CFC unit with an integrated fuel surge tank and fuel pump hanger, and is compatible with single or dual high-pressure fuel pumps from Deatschwerks, AEM, Ti Automotive, Walbro, Bosch, Fuelab, Aeromotive and many more. It's compatible with all common 39mm fuel pumps as well as larger ones such as Deatscherk DW400, Walbro GST400/450/520, Bosch BR540, and Aeromotive Stealth 450. One fuel pump is mounted inside the tank, on a height-adjustable aluminum hanger, and one or two pumps are mounted on a machined aluminum hanger within the surge tank. This solution is prepared to provide constant fuel flow for power outputs between 200 and 2000 horsepower without any starvation issues, even under demanding driving conditions, thanks to the internal surge tank and Pyrotect internal foam baffling system.
The Pyrotect Elite Fuel Cell with the CFC unit from Nuke Performance is compatible with most common fuel pumps. In conjunction with Nuke Performance fuel pump mounting kits, it has never been easier to set up a high-performing fuel system.
How are the fuel pumps mounted within the Pyrotect Pyrocell Elite?
The single fuel pump mounted in the fuel bladder works as a pickup pump that ensures that the high-pressure fuel pumps within the oversized 2-liter (0.53 Gallon) surge tank always have enough fuel to maximize fuel flow and minimize the risk of fuel starvation which can severely damage the engine. The CFC unit is delivered with everything you need to install the fuel pumps of your choice, but we recommend adding one of our fuel pump mounting kits for optimal function. All fuel pumps are securely mounted in any conditions thanks to the machined fuel pump hangers.
The AN-6 fuel cell vent kit couples directly to the CFC unit's roll-over valve for easy installation.
The CFC unit is equipped with an AN-8 (3/4 UNF) to AN-6 male roll-over vent fitting, and the simplest way to route the vent line to a safe and functional position is by a fuel cell vent kit from Nuke Performance. Available in several sizes from AN-6 to AN-12, you can choose the kit that best suits your needs. If you wish to use a larger diameter vent line than AN-6, you will also need to change the fitting on the roll-over valve. The vent kit includes a 1m (3.3ft) nitrile fuel hose and a universal air filter that prevents debris from entering the fuel system.
When safety and functionality are a priority, choose the fuel cell with foam baffling and heavy-duty fabric bladder with dual coating, the lightest on the market.
The US-made Pyrotect Elite fuel tanks incorporate factory-modified internal foam baffles, adapted to the mounting needs for the Nuke Performance CFC unit. The tough urethane bladder, encased by a lightweight aluminum container, is much safer than simpler solutions such as fuel saver tanks and welded aluminum tanks. The Pyrotect Elite series is among the safest fuel tanks on the market today and is developed from a long heritage in professional motorsports. Equipped with an ultra-durable double-layered urethane fabric bladder and aluminum container, it is available in several sizes, from 8 to 26 Gallons (30 to 98 Liters). With the Nuke Performance CFC unit, the only thing you need between the fuel cell and the engine is a fuel filter, just like a standard fuel system. The internal bladder is perfectly safe for all types of fuel, but if used with alcoholic fuel, it should not be stored for a long time without first flushing it with non-alcoholic fuel.
FIA Certification:
FIA-certified fuel cells have a 5-year lifespan and, in some countries, can be recertified for an additional 2 years, for a maximum of 7 years from the date of manufacture. Fuel cells must be sent to Pyrotect for recertification. To comply with FIA regulations, the fuel cell bladder must be installed within the included aluminum container. The dimensions stated on our website refer to the included container.
Measurements:
The bolt flange around the top lid is an additional 25.4mm (1.00") per side; add this to the stated measurements. Custom "shoe box" type design is optional; contact us for custom orders.
