It is well documented that the N55 engine, found in the M135i, M235i, 335i, and 435i, is prone to issues of insufficient lubrication when pushed to its limits on the road, and even more so on the track.
The ultimate, easy-to-install solution for the N55 that protects your engine's lifespan.
The problem is especially exacerbated during hard braking, when oil collects at the front of the sump due to lateral G-force, causing the oil pump to starve for lubrication. Even a fraction of a second without lubrication can cause permanent damage to the engine; if prolonged, it is almost certain to lead to failure. And that's where our baffled sump comes in.
The MMR Performance baffled sump has been meticulously designed from the ground up to provide effective oil control, reducing surge and maintaining a more consistent oil pressure; it is the ultimate solution to protect your engine's lifespan.
With a total of 7 sophisticated one-way oil control flaps and specific baffles, the T-6061 anodized MMR sump baffle has been tested for thousands of kilometers on track and road.
