Furthermore, multiple CAN Buses are often needed to cover different requirements, such as the drive CAN Bus, comfort CAN Bus, and a programming CAN Bus (USB2CAN), among others.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eTo address this, CANchecked has developed a practical add-on module with 6 connections. Each connection carries four wires: CAN High, CAN Low, 12 V, and ground.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eHardware of the CBD06: With dimensions of just 96 x 47 x 33 mm, the housing is incredibly compact and fits virtually anywhere. The connectors are designed based on the popular DTM04-4P. Optionally, compatible receptacles, DTM06-4S, can be purchased to complete the installation. For installation, two holes are provided in the middle, and the two included screws can be used.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eConfiguration options for the CBD06\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eUnder the bottom cover, there are jumpers on the circuit board:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eOn the left side, JP3 and JP4 connect both CAN Buses (CAN Bus 1 and CAN Bus 2). By removing both jumpers, both CAN Buses are separated, each with four connections.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eJP1 activates the termination for CAN Bus 1.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eJP2 activates the termination for CAN Bus 2.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eOptionally, the housing can be equipped with a 12 V\/Ground power cable. This cable can then be looped through to the other ports to supply power to end devices. However, devices with higher power consumption should not be powered through the unit.
