ZRP Standard Black Nitrided Intake Valves for BMW 1.8L M42 (Set of 8)
ZRP Standard Black Nitrided Intake Valves are designed for the BMW 1.8L M42B18 engine. Ideal for high-revving naturally aspirated engines and high-performance applications, these valves offer excellent durability, dimensional stability, and long-term reliability under demanding operating conditions.
Manufactured from high-quality forged stainless steel (EV8/21-4N) in a single piece, each valve undergoes a specialized black nitriding process. This advanced surface hardening treatment diffuses nitrogen into the outer layer of the valve, significantly increasing wear and fatigue resistance, while reducing friction between the stem and guide thanks to the hardened and smoother surface.
Unlike localized chrome coatings, the entire valve, including the stem and head, receives the black nitriding treatment. This ensures uniform surface protection, increased resistance to abrasion and valve seat wear, and an extended service life in high-revving applications.
Each valve is precision forged, CNC machined, polished, and tip-hardened to meet strict dimensional tolerances. This guarantees precise valve seating, stable operation at high RPMs, and uniform sealing in both naturally aspirated and turbocharged engines.
