The function of an ignition coil is to transform the 12-volt output from the car battery into a much higher voltage. This intensified electrical energy provides a more reliable source for spark plug operation, improving engine performance by igniting the fuel-air mixture more efficiently.
We have devoted much of our development time to optimising ignition coil energy levels to ensure control of operating temperatures. Throughout the life of our coil, this thermal management will help prevent future failures.

Additional Information

Ignition coils that generate more than 10% energy above the original coil will overheat and deteriorate over time. We have increased the energy output gain to a level that will keep the coils as cool as possible for as long as possible.
This level of increase represents the sweet spot of diminishing returns between the amount of additional energy that benefits spark intensity and the rapid increase in internal temperature, which impacts reliability and long-term performance.

Installation Information

For easier removal and extended life, we recommend applying dielectric grease around the rubber boot of the coil.
