Audi/VW 1.4L TSI and TFSI connecting rods are H-beam shaped and made from high-strength 4340 steel. The bushings are made of AMPCO 18 material, which offers excellent wear and fatigue resistance, and feature a radial groove that acts as an oil reservoir. Additionally, they incorporate a grooved pin end that minimizes deformation under high inertial loads, thereby reducing weight. They undergo shot peening to relieve internal stresses and multi-stage heat treatment to increase their rigidity. Strict manufacturing process tolerances ensure a perfect fit and optimize oil clearances. Bending and twisting are strictly controlled. They are designed for high performance and extreme durability.
Each connecting rod includes ARP 2000 hex head bolts with a strength of 220,000 psi. Optionally, ARP 625 material can be chosen. The complete kit includes ARP moly oil and comprehensive assembly instructions. Additional machining processes
